Welcome to the website of Dr Hannah Battersby.
I am a philosopher working across environmental and animal ethics, with a focus on moral philosophy and environmental values.
My research interests include:
– Recognitional justice and nonhumans
– Moral considerability of non-living nature
– Climate justice and place-based values
– The predator-prey problem within Nussbaum’s extended Capabilities Approach
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven within RIPPLE (Research in Political Philosophy and Ethics Leuven).
