Dr Hannah Battersby

I am a philosopher working across environmental and animal ethics with a focus on moral philosophy, relational environmental values, and multispecies justice. I take an interdisciplinary approach to my research and engage with critical disability, feminist, and critical animal studies within my projects.

My research interests include place-based relational values, multispecies cohabitation, theories of inter- and multi- species justice, non-anthropocentric climate justice, and intersections between ableism and speciesism.

Presently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Philosophy within KU Leuven, Belgium.

As a disabled philosopher, I am an advocate for greater accessibility and inclusivity in academia.
